Welcome to the zoo read the paper work that Angela had left for me, she was not wrong! With 2 dogs, 3 cats and 3 chooks I was going to have my work cut out for me.

This house is nestled in the lovely leafy streets of Marden, the home itself had endless amounts of character, was incredibly quirky and radiated positive energy.

The two dogs Nellie and Scout were both rescue dogs and their breeds are a mix of kelpie dalmatian and a few others in there. They love being social and going on big walks to wear out all their energy.

The three cats were Mr Bojangles, Merlin and Gracie. I had been prewarned that these cats were evil and would attack when least expecting so I spent the first week trying to be extra careful around them and made sure that they couldn't access the room when I slept as the last thing I wanted was a cat massacre! Although not once did they ever attack me! I couldnt believe it.

Now I know that like children you are not meant to have favourite but Mr Bojangles and I got along like a house on fire, even though he was the one that caused me most grief. As the cats were not aloud outside Mr Bojangles would sneak past my attempt at blocking him getting out whilst I let the dogs in and make a good attempt at running away, hmm maybe this is why I liked him so much because he was trying to get away from me!

During my time at this house Today Tonight got in contact with me to do a story on the success of house sitting you can watch this segment here and see us all =)

The chickens were great, even though I don't eat eggs i love collecting them for some reason, it was actually a favourite past time of mine in high school... did I mention I went to an Agricultural high school?

Leaving this house sit was heart breaking, I later found out that Mr Bojangles would sit by the window at night and do his sad meow, turns out he loved me just as much as I loved him!
